Edukasi Pengelolaan Sampah melalui Video Digital Pendidikan Na Guna bagi Siswa Madrasah

Abstract


Household waste management requires engaging educational approaches suited to young people. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge of community-based waste management through the educational digital video “Na Guna,” which documents community practices at Rumoh Broeh Kreatif, Banda Aceh. The method was community education for eighth-grade students at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar on September 26, 2026. The experimental group (n=17) received education through the video, while the control group (n=24) received general education through slides. Knowledge was measured before and after the education using 15 multiple-choice questions and analyzed with the Mann-Whitney U test and Normalized Gain (N-Gain). The mean posttest score was 14.59 in the experimental group and 4.88 in the control group (p < 0.001), with N-Gain values of 0.96 (high) and 0.09 (low). Digital videos grounded in local community practices can serve as an alternative medium for school-based waste management education.
