Abstract

Service data at Kelurahan Koya Timur, Jayapura City, are generally treated as administrative archives without numerical processing or visual presentation, so they are not yet used to evaluate services. This community service activity aimed to strengthen the data and numeracy literacy of village officials as an initial step toward evidence-based public service. The method combined training with demonstration, hands-on practice on participants' laptops, and guided data preparation on 3 June 2026 (10.00–12.00 WIT), attended by 14 officials. The material covered data recording standards, simple numerical indicators and charts in Microsoft Excel, and an introduction to data security and visual communication. Evaluation relied on observation, discussion, and review of practice outputs, without pre-test and post-test. Participants followed table preparation, simple calculations, and basic chart creation, and actively asked how to apply them to service data. The activity is an initial capacity-building step that requires continued mentoring and more structured measurement.
